Beach Weddings

So this past weekend Chris' cousin Samantha got married on Virginia Beach. We had allot of fun the wedding was beautiful! Of course I have always liked beach weddings, and if Chris and I ever decide to re-do the wedding vows we will probably have the ceremony on the beach. As for Sam she was gorgeous! The wedding was out on the beach of a military base, James' (the Groom) father was military and was able to get access to it. The reception was also on the base, it was real nice and quaint. They had 7 attendants each, dressed in this real pretty blue that just matched the sky right on. Addie had fun just loungin' on the beach, she was not too concerned about playing in the sand at all. On the other hand Hailey played enough in the sand for the two of them. She was covered in sand, and then right before everything was all said and done with she fell in the water! Can't wait until Addie can do all of that! I was nice seeing all of the family there also. Most of them hadn't even met Addie yet, so they were all excited to see her for the first time. She did great out on the beach and then at the reception, not too much fussing, maybe a whimper here or there but that was understandable given how HOT it was!! At one point in the day the thermometer in the car read 111 degrees!

Chris celebrated his first Father's Day on Sunday, aside from having to drive most of the day home from Richmond, I would say all in all it was a pretty good day. Addie and I got him and her T-Shirts with their pictures on them. They were supposed to say Daddy's Addie and Addie's Daddy, but I couldn't figure out to do that. So Chris is actually gonna have to finish his own gift, but I'm sure he doesn't mind.

So after spending the morning with his dad we hit the road and got back into Winston in time to eat dinner with my daddy. A good day with daddies.

Chris,
Thank you for being the best Daddy ever to our little Addie, she is so in love with you, you can tell it when you look at her and she just lights up. You were wonderful, helping me out through the entire pregnancy, then helping during delivery. I couldn't have done it without you, not even a little bit!!! You work so hard everyday to provide for our family, so that we can have nice things. Getting up in the middle of the night to feed and change her and so many times I have woke up without you knowing it and looked in there to see you and her rocking, both asleep in each others arms. I love that you are the father of Addie, and our future children. It takes allot to be a father, but you have every bit of "the touch". As a matter of fact you are not just a father you are a Daddy, Addie's Daddy to be exact.

Daddy,
Thank you for being my Daddy. Over the last 27 years you have been more to me than just a Daddy. You have guided spiritually, so that now I am able to guide my daughter to her path with Christ. You taught me how to be a responsible adult, and for that I am very thankful, I have never gotten in trouble with my finances because I was prepared, and now I have a career in the field. But most of all if it wasn't for you being such a wonderful Daddy and husband to Mama I would never have known what to look for in a husband of my own. Now I am married to a man that is so much like you and sure enough he treats me better than I deserve and we have a beautiful daughter to which he is already a great father and growing more everyday! I love you so much and am very thankful for you.
