1 year

Well we made it!! Addie's first year of life was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. This child has no clue what joys she has brought to our lives, she is our miracle. For the last 12 months we have been living a dream come true and as each day comes all we can do is praise God for this blessing and thank him for each and every moment.

I still can't believe how far we have come, all that we have accomplished is more than I could have ever pictured my life to contain. From her very first smile on her 1 month birthday to the day after Christmas when she looked at me and said "mama". I sometimes find myself just standing in the fourier just staring at our pictures from 1 month up and in my mind reliving all the wonder of the past year.

So here are just a few things we have accomplished... If you didn't know already, we are walking, and when I say walking I mean everywhere. Addie started walking at 11 months and has been non stop ever since! Her words, to name a few, consist of~ mama, dada, hey, bob, yeah, night night, kitty, rock and bye bye. She knows where the light is, what the balloon is, where her tongue is, who and what Booskers is. She knows where all of our feet are as well as our belly buttons, we are still working on nose however. She has been feeding herself since further back than I can remember right now, refuses to be fed! She drinks out of a straw cup, won't touch a sippy, loves drinking out of the water bottle. Bath time has changed allot for us, I still think she likes it, but it's gotten a little more challenging these days beacuse all she wants to do is stand up, eat the soap, crawl, roll around, pretty much everything she is not supposed to do. Now brushing her teeth is her new thing, I will brush her teeth, stopping a few times during to look in the mirror and say "cheese", then she will brush her teeth. She no longer needs to be rocked before bed. She loves other kids, which is surprising being that she is an only child who hasn't been to a daycare of any sort since she was 4 months old. She is the happiest baby/big girl ever, from first thing in the morning to right before bed it's all grins and we wouldn't have it any other way!!

We managed to make it through the first year without getting sick, thank you Lord, the doctor says that she "is perfect" and even though she probably has to say that to everyone, we like to believe that our Addie is one of the ones that stand out. Her weight at 20lbs 11oz and height at 24in are staying steady in the 50th percentile. She did very well having to have 4 shots and a finger prick, she was very interested in watching the nurse squeeze the blood out of her finger(I think she gets that from me...) but all in all a successful 1yr well visit.

So I was reading another article in one of my parenting magazines and it was talking about taking one picture a day(kind of like a modern day growth chart) to capture her daily changes. So I have been doing this starting from her birthday, but it has taken me so long to finish this post that it has pushed everything else back, sorry for that, I promise I will try and get better it is just so hard sometimes being a blogging, working, supermom!

We had a wonderful birthday party for her lots and lots of friends and family to help make the day go smoothly, it was so cute seeing her interact will all of her friends and cousins. She got so much stuff(thanks everyone), her smash cake really didn't get smashed but it was funny watching her try and figure it out, all in all very successful for our first birthday party!

Happy Birthday Addie Mae!

Queen Leah

Leah Grayce had her First Birthday Party this past weekend, We had a blast!!! Addie has found her future crush on her best friend's brother (there has to be one at some point). Her and Bryson were priceless, but the star of the show was Sweet Leah.

So I made sure to remember my camera, but didn't think to check the batteries...guess you know what happened next. I got maybe 5 pics and then dead. So the rest I took with my phone, thank goodness for my phone!!
