Our First Sunday

So this past Sunday was our first Sunday with the 3yr olds. They were wonderful!! There were 8 kids in our class, and they were all so brilliant. I never realized how much a 3yr old knows, of course it has been a while since I have been around one that age, but these kids just amazed me!! I mean my cousin has a two year old and she is beyond brilliant, but I just attributed that to her parents, because they are very educated people.

It was just so much fun though, and for the time we were there I thought of nothing more than those eight children. I even looked over at Chris a few times and he was covered with kids, literally. They were on his back, in his lap, and leaning on him. He was all smiles, from ear to ear, I think he really liked it too.

We had a play time where we take the kids to the playground, to let them play for about 15 min. they lined up on the rope, and not a peep came out of their mouths till we got to the playground. Really how many times can you have a group of 3yr olds and keep them all quite at once, they followed any and all rules, or directions. I told Chris though they may have been good for us, but we only had them for 1 1/2 hrs.

Our Weekend

Ok So this past weekend our niece Hailey was dedicated. Chris' parents came into town and stayed with us from Friday to Monday. It was really nice.
Saturday, Chris and I, and both sets of our parents went out to breakfast together at Dukes. That was really nice, being that the last time the 6 of us all went out to dinner was back when Chris and I first started dating. Well let my Father-In-Law tell it he would say it was at my Dad's surprise birthday party back in October of '06. You know we were all there, and we did all eat...Steve, our Brother-In-Law, works on airplanes for a living and He was able to get us all tickets to the airshow that afternoon. So we all road over to Smith Reynolds for a fun day! It looked like it was gonna be over cast that morning but it turned out to be a beautiful day!

Sunday Chris and I went to Big Church at our Church, then went to Jenny and Steve's Church for Hailey's dedication. Hailey did so well, she let the preacher hold her while he prayed over her, without making a sound. After church we all went to Don Leo's Mexican Restaurant for lunch, then Jenny and Steve's for cake and ice cream. Of course by the time we got to the house Hailey was already passed out, you know it is hard being the center of attention all day.

Chris' grandparents also came into town for the dedication and after we left Jenny and Steve's they wanted to come over and see our house. Now Chris absolutely loves giving people tours, so he was just delighted to have them come over and be able to give them a tour of our house. I think his grandparents enjoyed it as well, see Chris is the only boy out of 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. So there is a certain level of interest and well as pride in this boy, and his life. He is also the oldest of the said grandchildren.

All in all is was a great weekend. Chris and I have been blessed with a great family, we really couldn't ask for more. What a very happy life we lead. God is truly good all the time.
