Back to Work

So as my week with my sweet angel draws to an end, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed being with her every day. I admit that we did get off to a rough start, you know not sleeping well and all, but by the end of the week(as it always happens) we were into a grove. It was really awesome watching her go through all of the daily things that I miss every day going to work. She is such an amazing kid and I have come to the conclusion that she really is 50/50 Chris and I, she got all of the good traits from the two of us. Just a perfect lil' miracle.

Well this week she mastered crawling on her hands and knees, pulling up (on everything, really everything, even bare walls that have nothing to grab hold of) and babbling. It is almost like she understands how to talk to us. Chris will say hey and she comes right back with HEY(or something that sounds allot like it) and when she gets upset she starts making this ggiggiggi sound like she is calling for grandma to come rescue her. Tonight she was talking to the picture of Mickey Mouse on her wall, so cute!!!

She just brings out the best of everything! I really loved being home with her, but I am really gonna love going back to work. I had a BLAST, but am not, by a long shot, cut out to be a stay at home mommy!!! Even though I would love to be that, it just doesn't seem to work for me. That said though, it was very nice getting to know her outside of, dinner, bath and bed. I am looking forward to the next week that she and I can spend together just the two of us!

We had pictures made this week, they were supposed to be her 9 month pictures, but I really wanted to have Christmas pictures taken too, and because her 9 month Birthday just so happens to fall on Christmas day, well we compromised. After the fact, I think that maybe I would have been ok waiting. We got a photographer that we haven't ever had and she was not great at all!! That on top of us getting there like 45 min before our actual appointment time so Addie was bored and tired because she had only had a 30min nap that morning(Chris blames that on me). Excuse me for thinking that if we get there early they may take us early, nope, they took us 25 min AFTER our appointment time!!! UGH!! Not fun, we both so wanted her to smile like she does at home, showing off all four of those beautiful little teeth of hers, well guess what, she smiled but all closed mouth. I blame that on the photographer, she just didn't have what it took to bring the little girl to an open mouth smile. Those pics are to be posted at a later date(after the family gets their copies).

I didn't get a lick of house work done, but I feel very accomplished. Love that little girl!!

My Whole Heart

I love my little girl more than life itself. Why oh why is it so hard to get her to go to sleep. I hate that I have to make her cry so bad!!! Now that she is pulling up, if she doesn't want to lay down and go to sleep she doesn't, so what do I do? I am really feeling like the crappiest of mothers right now. I hate myself for getting so frustrated over this, but what else am I to do? Is it possible to get postpartum this late? I love her so much I can't stand it, but why am I so bad at being a mommy??

On a brighter note, it is so awesome to watch her be amazed at all the new things she is learning. Tonight after dinner I gave her some yogurt bites, and I was watching her as she would get a piece stuck to the inside of her palm, and she would open up her hand and look at it at all different angles, then pick it off with the other hand and put it into her mouth.

She is talking more than ever now, she spent all day just telling me all about what she wanted. Even while trying to get her to go to sleep tonight, she would push away and then go on this tangent, talking about anything and everything. She is the sweetest being that I have ever met. She makes my life worth living. I love that little girl.

Oh How Time Flies

I can't believe that it has already been 8 months!! Addie is growing like the most precious of little weeds. Just in the last month she has started crawling, or squirming should I say. She has this army crawl that she does like she is in combat or something. Some would say that she is not, because she is not doing the stereotypical hands and knees crawl, but she gets around. She is a fast little booger too. Last week alone she sat up on her own, started pulling up on things, and mastered getting over this ledge that we have that separates our den from our dining room. She has 4 teeth now, 2 of which just showed up last week only a day apart from each other. What a week of Thanksgivings. We tried out table food because she is picking up and eating these little crunchies like a champ, but that didn't work out too well. She picked up the green beans and put them in her mouth but I think it was the taste that made her spit them out. Oh well there is always next time. She loves her bath time too, she has always loved taking baths, but lately she figured out how much fun it really is to splash, an boy does she!! Last night I was soaked, after that I usually have to change clothes too.

She is becoming very interactive, she will talk and squeal like it's no body's business. She likes to stick her tongue out and make the airplane sound that I do when feeding her dinner. Also just this week she started doing the Indian call, she really likes that, she gets so excited over it, she even picks up my hand and pulls it to her mouth so that i will pat her lips for her. lol, she is such a goober!!

Yesterday was Black Friday and as like every year we were up at 2 to get the best deals of the season, so when we got home we were wrapping up the gifts we got, and she was right with us trying to help. Well she was un-wrapping as we were wrapping, but it was the sweetest thing! I think she will be good and ready to tear into some gifts in a few weeks. I can't wait and as good as she has been there is no doubt that Santa is gonna be just thrilled to stack under our tree so many wonderful things for her to learn and grow with!!

Just a little update on the rest of us, Chris is in his next to last semester of school, Praise the Lord!! I think that he is just doing wonderfully he is so smart, I can only hope that Addie got his brains. He is so amazing, working and going to school full time, as well as being the world's greatest Daddy and Husband, it's got to be a hard job to hold but he does it with stride.

I was transferred again, only this time I had prior knowledge of the move. Also the branch I went to had been requesting me, unlike last time when they just did a location shift. I couldn't be happier where I am at now, my co-workers are awesome, my new boss could just possibly be the best I have ever had. I really look forward to each day that God gives me to be able to go back.

Mama and Addie are just having the time of their lives together. They do all kinds of things together, I really think that it helps Addie grow being with Mama everyday. She teaches her things and is able to give her her full un-divided attention. I hope that it helps Mama being with Addie all day too, she seems to be very happy being here. Allison says that if she didn't know better she would think that Mama was a new mother herself. Every day Mama will call Alli and say "Guess what Addie Mae did today!!!" She is so proud. I am proud too, I really have the best mother ever!!!! I really don't know what I would do without her.

We are so blessed to have all that we do and to be able to do all that we can.

Happy Halloween!

Well our little Yoda had her very first Halloween today. We went this morning to Jenny and Steve's church fro a fall festival, then had an open house this evening. If I say so myself, we had the cutest Yoda on the block! It was allot of fun to have everyone over tonight, Addie had a great time playing with her cousin Hailey. We even went Trick or Treating, just across the street to see our neighbors, but it was fun. Addie is becoming such the little smarty pants, she is figuring stuff out right and left, what a joy she is. More to come later! Happy Halloween to All!!
